Program

The event will span four and a half days of academic and social activities, beginning on Monday, June 9, at 6:00 PM (Spain time) with a Guided Tour of the city of Almería followed by the Welcome Reception, and concluding on the evening of Friday, June 13, with the Gala Dinner and Farewell Party.

Participants are expected to arrive in Almería by Monday afternoon, June 9, and depart on Saturday, June 14.

As outlined in the schedule, the program includes:

  • Interactive workshops (three time slots, each offering two parallel workshops)
  • Open Discussion sessions (a total of six)
  • Eight small-group mentoring sessions
  • Two poster presentation sessions

To promote connections among participants, encourage networking, and showcase both Almería and its university, the evening program will include:

  • A Flamenco exhibition
  • Live Jazz/Rock performances
  • A Multicultural DJ Night
  • An excursion with water activities in Cabo de Gata Natural Park, a stunning semi-arid volcanic landscape featured in several international films

In addition, the Opening and Closing Ceremonies are designed to be meaningful shared moments, providing a fitting beginning and a memorable conclusion to the participants’ stay in Almería.
